From the minute the first bite of our food enters our mouth, digestion of the food begins. Digestion of our food starts from our mouth and goes on till the residue digested food is eliminated from the body. Problems in our digestion system does not only make us suffer physical pain but also makes our body incompetent of absorbing all the nutrients from the food we have consumed, that are very important for our body.

There are many digestive disorders that one may have; some of them are stomach gas, stomach cramps, acid reflux, constipation and abdominal pain. Such digestive problems are mostly a result of our eating of untimely meals, over eating or eating food that is poor in nutrition. Our unhealthy lifestyle also leads to such problems; smoking and lack of sleep being some of them.

But it is very important to treat such problems right in the beginning before the turn into more dangerous and serious diseases like stomach ulcers, heartburn and anaemia. There are some natural ways that help us in keeping our digestion system sound:
  • Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera has many vitamins, minerals and nutrients that help in healing the digestion system. Drinking a glass of the Aloe Vera juice in the morning can help in keeping the stomach issues away. It also helps in relieving acid reflux as the Aloe Vera forms a protective cover over the lining of the stomach.

Also known as friendly bacteria, probiotics are live microbial organisms that help in regaining good digestive health. Probiotics are found in foods like cheese, green foods and yogurts. There are probiotic supplements available in the market that one can take.
  • Tea
Tea helps to keep the stomach free from digestive problems. Tea mixed with different things has different benefits. Peppermint tea, Ginger tea and Chamomile tea are some easily available flavours of tea that help keep away all the gas problems.

  • Changing eating habits
Unhealthy food causes various digestive problems, so what we eat needs to be taken care of. Foods rich in starch and proteins should never be taken in the same meal as these meals cause the secretion of digestive juices that neutralize each other thus both the foods do not get properly digested. Food should be chewed properly and we should try to concentrate on our food while eating it by avoiding watching television while having meals.
  • Proper Exercise
